Adam Robitel’s Escape Room is a game of mystery and horror and suspense that’d shake you this way and that till you start screaming for life. The movie is skillfully coupled in such a way that it comes off as a psychological exploration of human sense of danger, dream for a better life, and an escape from tortuous past.
Your job is to solve connected puzzles. The penalty for not being able to solve them is death. At the heart of this movie are six strangers mysteriously invited to participate in an escape room game which involves a mouth-watering amount of money. Danny (Nik Dodani) is the expert, Amanda (Deborah Ann Woll) is the soldier, Zoey (Taylor Russell) is a bunch of skills, Mike (Tyler Labine) is the rude stockbroker, Jason (Jay Ellis) is a business man, and Ben (Logan Miller) is the slave of booze.
They soon realize that the ESCAPE ROOM is a death trap. How the mastermind of the game knows the torturous life of each character is creepy and at the same time stimulating. There’s a touch of horror and mystery as the protagonists move from stage to stage. Each stage poses a new crazy harder challenge that takes a lot of grit to overcome. The upside-down bar is such a wonderful scene that’d get you screaming.
